Waves and Weather: That’s it… It’s gone to shit. (And if I see another photo of 6 -8 foot J-Bay this past weekend I’m going to cotch! Enough now.) Freezing cold and grey skies down here in CT… “Hello? London?”. Swell’s up tomorrow, wind’s coming from the North for the next few days so will the rain should be just around the corner. Stock up on movies, snacks and and girl’s phone numbers – HA!
Quotes: ‘Alarm clocks.. Because every day should start with a heart-attack!’ AND ‘We live in a society where pizza gets to your house before the cops do.’
Pictures: ‘Say CHEESE!’, The Caves (Top to bottom) my little tribute to Rhinos and all things cool, Ryan Botha’s Cave-of-comfort, Bobby, Dan and Aidan’s style pad and David Donde’s retro-kicker. Followed by a little bit of sexiness – It’s a Wednesday!
Music: Jhameel – ‘Are you free’ – Something different, something cool. HERE
Epic-Fail: 1. Finding out that this R11 Kimberley Hotel breakfast used to be R9.50…?! Day-light robbery I tell you. 2. Zuma thinking that The Spear painting may in fact be PORN… Bahahaha! Get over yourself Jacob. 3. Getting A LOT on ‘Friend requests’… From guys. FML.
#Winning!: 1. Finally finding the actual # (Hash-Tag) key on this silly laptop. 2. Doubling-up on that R11 breakfast…. STUFFED! 3. Rhinos… They are awesome! 4. Billabong SA Champs in Cape Town this weekend. Follow the info HERE
Just Passed: Operation Man Cave at Decorex. A huge success – I’d personally like to say a big thank you to everyone involved. We did good! Well done to Bobby and Dan Skinstad as well as Aidan Bennetts for taking the win in their stylish Man-Cave, raising over R12 000 (plus an additional R10 000 from Decorex) for their charity. Dani Erhlich and I came in second with R11 000 for Rhinoprotect, David Donde (and the Wetherleys mansion) from Truth Coffees landed up in third and soccer super-star, Ryan ‘Mr Style’ Botha came in fourth place respectively, even though that Cave was insane!
We handed-over of the cheques yesterday at The Bank (Design House) and it was great to see all the people coming together to do something so unselfish, and give something back to the community, children and animals. Really, there should be more of this sort of thing. I’m super proud to have been selected, involved, donate some time and eventually, some money too. What a great feeling. Well done ‘Rhinoprotect‘ for doing such great things for our horny friends. Us and our future kids and grand-kids thank you in advance.
The event is the first of many and you can guarantee all four of us will certainly be applying to do it again next year as the Celebrity Man Cave comes around again… Bigger, better, faster, MORE!
It happened because of the support so a BIG THANK YOU to: Dani Erhlich and the Do Co-lab (design queen!), Bottletop Liquors (For a Wall-of-Beer), The Pole Yard (The Rhino-Bar), Trinity and Rafikis (Constant support), Dutchie (Surfboard art), Sector 9, Nixon, Von Zipper (Sick give-aways!), The Bonsai Guy (I want one), Klooftique (THE table), Cadis Electronics (An entertainment system that will make your ears bleed!), Dylan Muhlenerg at Mens Health (Lekker little article), Red Bull (Fully stocked fridge), Fresh The Laundry (donation of R2000), Steven and Dieter at Furnspace (I would have been lost without you… We ALL would have!) and to every single one of you who donated money, time effort or just came down and supported the event… THANK YOU ALL.
Over and out.
