The Rhino ONEsie
Breakdown: Teams of Rhino Activists (Like Steve Newman, Siv Negesi and a couple of well know celebs, and myself) are going to be running a relay race from Kauai to Kauai on Friday 12 April in ONEsie South Africa Rhino Suits (www.onesie.co.za) Starting at Kauai Blue Route Mall at 07h30 and finish at Kauai V&A Waterfront, we will make our way around the peninsular trying to create as much awareness, and raise as much funding as possible.
The One and Only SIV
Reason: The Chief Marketing Officer of Kauai, Diane St Clair Moor, has been asked to participate in the LONDON MARATHON on behalf of “Save The Rhino International” (where all money raised will be going). In order to compete we need to raise at minimum of 2000 Pounds Sterling.
Beneficiaries: We have set up http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/dianestclairmoor
“The 5 Kauai stores involved in this relay are Blue Route Mall, Constantia, Rondebosch, Shortmarket, Camps Bay and V&A Waterfront. Each of these stores will have stock of Save the Rhino button badges and will be selling them for R5. All proceeds will go to the Save the Rhino organisation. Everyone who buys a badge and a smoothie from Kauai will stand a chance of winning lunch with some of the Stormers rugby players.” – Diane St Clair Moor – THE runner
Get involved: 1. By SHARING this info. 2. CREATING AWARENESS of your own. 3. DONATING to the beneficiaries account. 4. SPONSORING the Kauai Rhino Relay by getting down to one of the 5 Kauai stores participating and buy a Save The Rhino button badge for only R5-00. 5. ALL OF THE ABOVE!
Support: Because over 600 Rhinos are killed each year in South Africa, 745 in 2012! It’s disgusting… Let’s come together and STAND UP against Rhino Poaching SA.
