Yeah, it’s a tough life…
There is a general thought that Fashion Week is a time of year when a whole lot of overly eccentric, strangely dressed, snobby people hit the streets and criticize and / or take note of other people’s fashion sense… Is this true? Absolutely. But it’s MAD FUN!
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town is done and dusted and it was a screaming success. A big congrats to all those involved. I had the privilege of being involved in this years event with the awesome and ever talented Mr Craig Port . The show went down with style, flare and innovation as the 30+ models (including Sean van Schoon who is now the big buzz model on the international cat walks) strutted their
stuff on Thursday evening. With a sold-out audience at the CTICC, AND an amazing opening performance by Lindiwe Suttle, Craig’s ‘Push for Champagne’ collection, was eaten-up by the crowd, models and camera-men. (Possibly except for myself in a swimming costume – don’t get me wrong, rad outfit, but I got me some skrawny little white legs so…. Yeah, moving on…)
The event changed location to The Reserve for the Official GQ and Glamour Craig Port After Party – And WHAT a party it was! The star studded After Party was proudly sponsored by FTV and FVodka/Fenergy (FTV Luxury beverage collection) It seemed like the whole of CT was out and about rubbing shoulders with the likes of Roxy Louw (No intro needed), Siv Ngesi and Bjorn Steinbach (two of SA’s top male actors), Alex McGregor (Nerdy girl in Spud), Clayton 
Morar (Recently back from covering the BET Awards in LA), Lushwill Rossouw (The OFFICIAL Bar One Man Hunt winner and therefor ‘Champion of the World’, and many others. Hosted and coordinated by Zebra Square who are quickly becoming the leaders of events, media and all things cool.
