Sometimes we have to tell the story the way it is… So here goes:

We were lucky enough to crack the nod / guest list for the Cosmo Lingerie Fashion Show last night at The Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town and what a show. Absolutely AWESOME! Pity about some of the guests…

I am blown away at the fake-ness of this town sometimes, or is it the industry…? Everyone thinks the “Fashion world” is BS, and sometimes it is, but that is not the case here. The who’s who of the social scene were out in full force, the drinks were flowing, the energy was high, the cameras were flashing etc.

Everyone was looking amazing (The smell of fake-tan filled the room and the amount of Botox was identifiable from outer space), the clothing was cool and slick (Some guys were wearing so many layers that they were literally sweating, and the ladies were wearing dresses that wouldn’t allow them to sit and / or breathe), and the conversation was thrilling (I got ditched by a good mate, half way through my fucken sentence, in order to go speak to someone more famous)…. Yeah, I left shortly after that, went across the road to ‘KWETU’, had myself a R12 black Label while still blown-away at what just went down, grabbed a quick burger at KFC and jumped in a R6 taxi back home and headed to a Brians DODGY little Pub, filled with real people – I think I won the war.

The guys and girls that you all admire and think the world off, well, let me tell you, if you don’t fit into their little clan then you have the right to be ignored… GET KNOTTED the lot of you. These are all out ‘Mates‘, the people we know and look up to, yeah, balls to that idea.

You think Clifton Shores is bad (They were there too – No comment), fuck, they might as well film the whole of CT from last night’s performance. Again, don’t get me wrong, the show was insane (Tracy McGregor leading the pack as well as the skinny guy covered in tattoos, YUSSY, what a champ he was) but what a let down some of the people were. Thank GOODNESS Vanessa Holliday was banging out some mad tunes to keep the crowd entertained – Watch this space, this lady’s awesome!

So, bit of a wake up call to us all perhaps. My father always says ‘As soon as you think you’re bullet-proof you get shot’ – Well, I wish I had a oozy last night.
